Gisela (she/her) grew up in Hunt Valley, Maryland, where she learned to swim at the age of five at the Maryland Athletic Center. Her first position in the aquatics industry was a DRD Pools, a long-established pool management company in the Maryland area. Gisela delights in making a difference in her students' lives, watching them grow and gain confidence with each lesson. A student of both biomedical sciences and photography at Marymount Manhattan College, she brings a unique blend of creativity and precision to her teaching. Outside the pool, Gisela enjoys playing lacrosse, exploring museums, and immersing herself in music. Her best friend, with whom she shares her life, is a little dog named Moose!
