Andrea took her first swimming lessons at the age of five, when she recalls childhood weekends spent at a very cold and chlorinated high school pool in Brooklyn. Despite these sometimes less-than-comfortable conditions, her instructors taught her persistence, adaptability and, of course, how to be safe in the water. At the age of 10, Andrea joined her first swim team -- Dolphin Swimming -- and she continued to swim competitively throughout her high school years. Inspired by her coaches and mentors, she became a certified lifeguard at 16 and soon thereafter began teaching lessons herself. Ever since, she has thrived in guiding swimmers from all walks of life through their own swim journey. Andrea studied Political Science in Skidmore College. In her free time, she can be found hoarding yarn for her fiber art projects!
