Sam began swimming before his memory kicked in -- it was likely either in Frankfurt, Germany, or Greenwich, CT! His aquatic experience is as global and as varied as his upbringing: if it involves being on or in the water, Sam has done it -- from SCUBA diving all over the world to racing with the elite 'Shark Squad' at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. A graduate of the University of Michigan, where he studied Acting and Film, Sam brings a performer’s energy and a teacher’s heart to the pool deck. He was inspired to teach after seeing how water skills instill life-changing confidence, and he lives for the moments when a student’s daunting challenge turns into a proud laugh. One of six siblings, Sam is a natural at navigating a crowd and loves sharing his passion for the water with the Imagine community.
