Mercedize learned to swim in the lakes and rivers of Indiana, where her love for the water first began. After moving to Australia, she was inspired by the country’s deep connection to swimming and saw firsthand how vital it is for everyone to learn this life-saving skill. That experience sparked her passion for teaching. For over six years, Mercedize has shared her joy of swimming with children, finding the greatest reward in seeing their confidence and skills grow. Outside the pool, she’s a talented tattoo artist who loves exploring the outdoors and capturing moments through photography.
