Max Ginther began his time at Imagine Swimming in 2011 and hails from El Centro, California. From a family of educators, he learned to swim before he began school in sunny Southern California and although he was never a part of an organized swim team, he always found comfort in the water. Frequenting the beaches of San Diego since before he could walk, Max immersed himself in water sports of every sort. In the waves, body surfing or on a board, the ocean has always been a second home. After graduating from the University of California Santa Barbara where he studied Public Policy and Sports Management, and where he lived within walking distance of the Pacific’s waves, he made a move to the east coast. Soon thereafter, Max began working at Imagine as an instructor and deck supervisor before spearheading their first summer camp and creating the ever popular intensive lesson program. He has risen through Imagine's ranks to now be a Co-Chief Operating Officer. There's nothing that makes Max happier than seeing that his love for the water has been passed down to his two young daughters.
