Kara learned to swim at her local pool in Bergen, New Jersey, and was soon a member of the summer swim team. She went on to compete for five years with the Bergen Barracudas as a breaststroker in the “Elite” group and later returned to the team as a coach. A graduate of Pace University with a degree in Psychology and Pre-Law, Kara loves watching her students build confidence and take pride in mastering new skills. When she’s not at the pool, Kara enjoys running, hiking, reading, crocheting, and playing one of the five instruments she’s learned!
