Kamilla is a native of Manhattan who grew up in Chelsea. She recalls her first experiences in the pool when she was terrified of getting her face wet -- so she certainly understands how it feels to be hesitant in the water! For her, everything changed at age seven when she learned to float at her local pool, sparking a self-taught love for swimming that soon led to her teaching fearful friends in her community. That empathy defines her teaching style today, as she helps students from infants to teens transform from cautious beginners into confident 'super swimmers.' A graduate of the performing arts at Landmark High School who's studied across the globe and mastered five languages, Kamilla brings a unique, creative, and worldly energy to every lesson.
