Julia's lifelong affinity for the water began with two swim instructor parents, who liked to joke that their daughter could swim before she could walk. She continued her aquatic journey competitively with the Susquehanna Valley Swim & Dive team, and now, as an open water enthusiast, she loves stroking through oceans and lakes. With a BFA in Musical Theatre and a background in NYC enrichment programs, Julia was inspired to pivot to swim instruction to share the joy that water brings her. She finds nothing more fulfilling than seeing a student's face light up after mastering a new skill, fostering a lifelong love for swimming. Outside the pool, this writer, actor, and cinephile has a fun fact: she’s been performing professionally as a magician’s assistant since elementary school. Fittingly, her friends call her "The Fish!"
