Em’s aquatic journey began at age seven at the Staten Island JCC, where a friendly regular offered pointers that provided the spark for a lifelong dedication to the water. With eight years of experience as a lifeguard and instructor, Em embraces a philosophy of “progress, not perfection,” focusing on helping students build confidence and cultivate a healthy relationship with the water. A SUNY Purchase graduate with a degree in Graphic Design and Fine Arts, Em is a professional artist who enjoys punk music, art galleries, and karaoke. Fun fact: Em is also a certified clown with two degrees from Coney Island Clown Skool!
