Elizabeth learned to swim in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia -- which is just over 10,000 kilometers from New York City! She went on to compete at both national and collegiate levels, including four years on the Macalester College swim team in Minnesota. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and is currently pursuing an M.S. in Sustainability Management at Columbia University. Returning to the pool to teach has brought Elizabeth joy, as it allows her to stay connected to the sport she loves while helping others grow in confidence and skill. Outside the pool, Elizabeth loves exploring New York City, watching movies, and spending time with friends. She is fluent in Mongolian, English, and Chinese.
