Christina Sancho-Spore

Teacher

Christina’s aquatic journey began at age two in Houston, Texas. Those early lessons led to 13 years of competitive swimming for Fleet Swimming, where she eventually reaching the national level. A distance freestyle specialist, Christina’s life was long dictated by the pool’s rhythm. After a collegiate career as a distance runner, she felt the pull of the water once again and returned to the pool to pass her love of the sport to the next generation. A Pratt Institute graduate with a BFA in Film, Christina is also an amateur astronomer who has spent long nights in West Texas sketching the stars through her telescope. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys running, music, and spending time with her cat, Sputnik.
