One of Imagine’s most experienced and versatile instructors, Brendan has over 25 years of expertise as a swim instructor, aquatics professional, and drowning prevention advocate. Originally from Spokane, WA, he moved to New York City in 2005 to study jazz trumpet, and joined the Imagine team in 2007. A nationally recognized voice in water safety, he received the United States Swim School Association’s Guiding Light Award in 2023 for his work as the founder of the New York Water Safety Coalition. Brendan's passion for the water extends beyond the pool walls, where he is an avid triathlete, ocean swimmer, and the proud father of two spirited little mermaids.
