Annie Lavvorn

Teacher

A self-described "water baby," Annie was introduced to the pool by her mother as an infant. She grew up swimming competitively in Georgia, specializing in the backstroke, and later worked as a country club lifeguard. While studying Theater at Kennesaw State, Annie took an aquatics course and was struck by how many adults feared the water. That realization inspired her to become an instructor, dedicated to turning fear into trust and confidence. She lives for the moment a student completely lets their guard down and trusts her guidance. A former opera singer and stage performer, Annie also paints, creates flower arrangements, boasts an unbeaten escape room record, and is busy planning her upcoming wedding.
