Amy fell in love with the water during childhood summers in western New York, in the town of Penfield, where swim lessons were the highlight of every camp season. A thrill-seeker at heart, Amy enjoys open-water swimming, water skiing, and even cliff jumping — most memorably off Hawaii’s legendary 'End of the World' leap on the Big Island. She brings that same sense of joy and adventure to her teaching, often inventing silly songs on the spot to celebrate student victories. A graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), Amy is also an actor, singer, and comedic improviser. Her fun fact: she has an all-black cat named Drax the Destroyer!
