Ainsley plunged into her first swim lessons at just 18 months old with the Houston Swim Club. By age four, she was hooked and already longing to race! Her competitive swim career began at the River Oaks Country Club and she went on to serve as the varsity swim captain at St. John's School. Ainsley went on to swim for Wesleyan University, where she still holds the school record in the 200 IM, before graduating from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Now an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at Pratt Institute, Ainsley brings her artistic eye and lifelong passion to her classes. Born on Thanksgiving Day, Ainsley spends her time outside the water reading, writing, knitting, and catching live music.
