Sarah grew up in a lake town in Virginia, where she learned to swim and came to love the water at a very young age. In high school, she helped found her school's swim team and was an avid slalom water skier. Sarah started lifeguarding in her hometown at age 16, progressing to be Chief Lifeguard at a resort on the Outer Banks of North Carolina at 19. There, she instituted her own swim program -- spanning the spectrum from age two to adults! She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at NYU and is loving the opportunity to teach kids in the city how to be safe and fun in the water!
