Growing up in the Midwest fostered Samantha’s love for the outdoors, where she had her first experiences swimming in nearby lakes, ponds, and streams. She began taking private swim lessons at the age of two and continued in lessons throughout most of her childhood. Samantha relocated to New York after attending college close to her Ohio home. She is a graduate of Muskingum University’s Middle Childhood Education program, where she earned a minor in English and is trained in teaching Language Arts and Science concentrations. Samantha has dedicated her time in New York to enriching the camp experiences of the two and three-year-old children she has cared for at the Hampton Country Day Camp. For the past four years she has worked closely with these children, helping to provide engaging and stimulating swim activities. She has demonstrated outstanding child guidance skills in various school, camp, and home settings for children ages 2 ½ to 14 years old, and has found a great love for the learning and teaching opportunities the water has allowed. She is devoted to teaching essential life skills to children and fostering an environment that encourages safety and a love for learning.
