Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Roger was taught the value of hard work from an early age. He started swimming at the age of sixteen, and went on to compete for the Grover Cleveland High School swim team shortly after. After receiving encouragement from his coaches, Roger became a Lifeguard for the New York City Parks and Rec. Department, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. In addition to his love for the water and physical fitness, Roger is also pursuing his passion for the culinary arts. In his free time he likes to read, run, swim - and bake.
