Nicollette learned to swim at the early age of six because her mother had fears of her child drowning. She was always the child that would ask to do jumps in the deep end, but would cry when it was her turn. Eventually Nicollette overcame her fear of water and at seven, she joined her local YMCA swim teams. As a member of the Bedstuy Piranhas and the Prospect Park Gators YMCA swim teams, Nicollette was ranked as one of the nation's top 50 girls in the 50 yard freestyle. Nicollette was then recruited to swim at Miss Porter's High School in Farmington, CT, where she was a four year member of the varsity swim team. She was named rookie of the year as a freshman, varsity captain as a senior and she helped the team break numerous school records throughout her high school career. After high school, Nicollette was once again recruited and attended Denison University in Granville, OH where she swam sprint freestyle. Nicollette recently graduated Denison University with a B.A in Chemistry and has returned to Brooklyn where she is looking forward to being a member of the Imagine crew!
