Loren is a Long Island native, born and raised here in New York. At the age of six Loren learned to swim with Half Hollow Hills Swim Club. He excelled in the water and was soon swimming competitively for the Half Hollow Hills swim club. He spent the next 10 years on the team, and during that time also swam four years of Varsity for Half Hollow Hills High School team. He continued his swimming through his college years at the University of Tampa, and after graduating, went on to study art at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where he received a degree in Graphic Design. When he is not in the water or working on his art, Loren has spent summers working with kids at Glen Cove day camp, life guarding at Jones Beach, or taking the stage in off-Broadway theatre here in the city.
