Born and raised in Yonkers, Livan was able to turn his initial fear of the water into a lifelong passion for swimming. Livan's first club team was the Yonkers Tsunami, and he later progressed onto the Condors Swimming Team. When he was 16, he earned his certification as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, and for the next five years he worked at Westchester County and Yonkers Parks and Recreation. As an Instructor, Livan constantly seeks to spread his enthusiasm for swimming and instill every student with a love for the water. Away from the water, some of Livan’s hobbies include: Skateboarding, Yoga, Art, and reading; all while pursuing an accounting degree at Baruch College.
