Justin learned to swim in the New Settlement Community Center where he grew a passion for swimming. After some time, he became a swim instructor and swam for the Blue Seals Swim Team, while at the same time running cross-country for his school's team the Bathgate bulldogs where he competed in borough and city championship against the fastest cross-country runners in the city. After about a year of swimming competitively and 3 years of running competitively, he became an assistant coach for the Blue Seals where he coached age group swimmers and helped them become better more efficient swimmers. His goals are to attend New York City College of Technology and major in Emergency Management and work in the FDNY and later FEMA to help people that cannot help themselves. He is interested in humanitarian work and cannot wait to help others in any way possible.
