Raised in Washington heights and highbridge (Bronx), I started my swimming career after my drowning incident in a beach in the Dominican Republic at the age of 3. Believe it or not, that’s what made me grow more love to the water. From going to swimming classes at the age of 3 in New Jersey, Yonkers, and the Bronx, that quickly led me to join the swimming team at the age of 10 years old. Joining the swimming team has lead me to have great opportunities in competing in multiple states like Puerto Rico, North Carolina, New Jersey, and even Washington DC with the Kips Bay Makos. After 5-6 years of swimming competitive , I later became a lifeguard and a water swimming instructor at the age of 16. Now, studying psychology and anthropology at John jay college, in hopes of working with children, my love of the water flows through the hearts of all my students.
